Mebyw is a private environmental noise notebook on your iPhone. You start a measurement, watch live decibels and a spectrum, optionally film the scene, and file an audio, video, or PDF report. It is a personal reference, not a medical or industrial instrument, and not a social feed.
Sessions, calibration profiles, spectrum snapshots, scene videos, report files, and a local Report Credit ledger are stored in the app’s private folder. Mebyw does not run a user account server for this yard.
Microphone is requested after you tap Start Measurement. Camera is requested after Record Video. Photo Library add access is requested after Save Video to Photos so you can keep a private measurement video. Declining a prompt leaves sound-only and history paths available. Sensors are not used in the background.
After Measure Sound, iOS may show App Tracking Transparency, then the notification prompt. Mebyw does not use an advertising identifier to follow you across other companies’ apps or websites. Measuring still works if you decline.
Optional Report Credit packs are Apple consumable purchases. Apple processes payment. Mebyw keeps verified transaction identifiers and remaining credits on this device. Credits cannot be restored after the app is removed or data is erased.
